Her profile states she's addicted to binge-watching TV dramas she struggles to think of a life before Netflix, loves rock music, tattoos, spicy food, and Keanu Reeves - a crush that's lasted over twenty years, and one she blames entirely on 'Point Break'...
Her dream is to ride a Harley. And visit Las Vegas. And be able to eat any amount of chocolate without putting on weight...
Sounds great! Tell me, Michelle, you don't happen to own a motorbike, do you?
I don't have a motorbike, although my husband used to have one in his younger days. However, it's a dream of mine to ride - although it would have to be pillion, as I don't drive - a Harley Davidson, any Harley Davidson would do, I'm not fussy. I just want to ride one! A hot biker to hold on to would be a nice bonus...
Oh, could I have found a more perfect picture for you? I enjoyed the 'research' too, I can tell you!
I take it your Lone Riders are tough guys, full of piercings and tatts? Have you ever had a tattoo? I've watched loads of programmes like Tattoo Nightmares and Ink Master; some of their work is tremendous, but I've never actually done it.
I've actually already got one tattoo, on my upper right arm - a black tribal cross - and I'm in the process of getting another one on my left arm - a bigger one this time. I've got a fascination with tattoos, and I've always wanted to have some of my own so I'm quite excited to be going through the process again. And I plan to get more.
So what was the inspiration behind the series?
The inspiration behind the Lone Riders series is, I guess, my lifelong fascination of bikes, and the men who ride them. Especially if they have an abundance of tattoos and a beard... Oh, and my obsession with 'Sons of Anarchy', that played a part, too! Watching that show gave me the kick start I needed to write a motorcycle club romance, something I've wanted to do for a long time now. It's a bit of a departure from what I've written before, but touching on the darker side of romance was really quite exciting, and writing some action and adventure was something I LOVED doing! But, yeah, I've always had a fascination with the biker world, so it was nice to bring my own, fictional MC to life with these books.
Someone in the shadows wants Coby Walker dead.
He’s not the only one.
Someone wants to bring The Lone Riders down.
He isn’t alone.
The club is in danger, but even Coby isn’t aware how deep that danger runs. How personal it’s all become. How many lives are at risk because he got distracted…
Ben Salter didn’t want to return to a life he’d left behind.
He was happy.
He was in love.
He was moving on.
But all of a sudden he finds himself thrust back into that world he’d never intended to return to, as the person he’d swore he’d never be again.
He thought he could handle it.
He thought pushing her away would be easy.
He was wrong.
Lines become blurred and loyalties confused as Ben’s need to avenge a past he couldn’t forget intensifies. And as his world quickly spirals out of control, that past starts to threaten his future; truths are revealed that change everything, and a secret is exposed that threatens to destroy the one thing that can keep him from falling apart – the one person who can save him; a secret that leads to a bitter betrayal that becomes a catalyst for an endgame he’d never wanted to play out…
Messed-up loyalties and a dangerous loss of focus puts The Lone Riders at risk; puts their resurrection in jeopardy. And they should have seen it coming.
Forgetting the past can be dangerous. Re-living it can be deadly…
